چکیده

Energy flow assessment can grasp the distribution law of each energy balance term engines and optimize control parameters related structures. In this study, combustion emission performance a Euro-VI heavy-duty diesel engine were tested with different coolant temperature addition n-butanol. Research results shows that under idle high-speed conditions, position maximum in-cylinder pressure (Pmax) moves backward increase load. What’s more, BSFC only be effectively reduced when is raised to 100 °C. About exhaust flow, it concluded not very sensitive temperature, but load speed are. It worth noting increased significantly as ratio butanol increased, proportion remaining loss reduced. Overall consideration, higher has positive effect on fuel consumption Soot-NOx trade-off boiling point improve reduce loss. Moreover, high n-butanol provides more room for recovery.

Comparison of performance and combustion parameters in a heavy-duty diesel engine fueled with iso-butanol/diesel fuel blends

This study discusses the suitability of iso-butanol/diesel fuel blends as an alternative fuel and determines their effects on the performance and combustion characteristics of a heavy-duty diesel engine. For this purpose, various isobutanol/diesel fuel blends containing 5%, 10% and 15% iso-butanol were prepared in volume basis and tested in a turbo-charged, six-cylinder direct injection diesel ...
